At the heart of everything we do
It is well recognised that being gainfully employed has an extremely positive effect on people’s health. It is also clear from research that work which is inherently dangerous, or is badly designed or managed is likely to have a detrimental effect on the health of the workforce resulting in considerable costs to employers. At the core of our business are our values and principles which guide everything that we do, and ensure that we deliver consistent and acceptable results.
Our Principles
· Most workplace activities are not carried out with wellbeing in mind. Simple changes can make a huge difference.
· Work in itself has massive potential to improve health
· Physical and mental health are inextricably linked. A good wellbeing strategy will recognise this
· Wellbeing need not be a chore. Neither must it be over-complicated. Many initiatives can be easily implemented without significant investment of time or money
· Interventions should be evidence-based – we are not interested in the latest “fads”
· Deeply ingrained cultures can be difficult to change but sometimes have to be challenged to get results
Our Values
· We respect the privacy of your employees
· Our advice is impartial and given in the best interest of your organisation. If we have commercial interests in any third party service providers we will tell you without being asked
· We keep up to date with the latest developments in employee wellbeing so that you do not have to. We will always be involved in some element of research to ensure we keep ahead of the game
· We give back to the community around us. We support local charities, mentor students and participate in national policy development to improve health and wellbeing
